How Choke Valves Work

Choke valves are typically used at wellhead and larger pressure drop services. Choke valve can be manual, flow control  or pressure control. It takes signal from respective (flow, pressure or operations set point) and throttles/ maintains production at desired rate.  Choke valve are also used at gas-lift line of oil wells to maintain flow or pressure.
